Free transit if flying onward within 96 hours. Must depart by air. Not extendable.
The 96-hour Visa-Free Transit Facility (VFTF) allows eligible travellers to enter Singapore without a visa while transiting to or from a third country. ICA lists Georgian citizens as potentially eligible for this facility.
Key conditions: You must have a valid onward air ticket departing Singapore within 96 hours. You must leave Singapore by air — sea or land departure does not qualify. The facility is strictly for transit; it is not for people whose sole purpose is to visit Singapore. Extension is not allowed under any circumstances.
Who can use it: ICA assesses each case at entry. Meeting the basic criteria (onward ticket, depart by air) does not guarantee entry. The officer may ask about your travel plans. Have your onward ticket, passport, and any connecting flight details ready.
Practical use: If you are flying Tbilisi → Singapore → Melbourne (or similar), and your Singapore layover is under 96 hours, you may be able to leave the airport and explore. If your only destination is Singapore, you need an Entry Visa instead.
Important: Do not overstay. Overstaying can result in fines, detention, and future entry issues. Confirm current criteria on ICA VFTF page.
