Singapore Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP)

The Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) allows certain family members of Singapore citizens or permanent residents (PRs) to stay in Singapore for an extended period. Common categories include spouse, unmarried children under 21, and parents.

Who qualifies: Eligibility depends on your relationship to the sponsor. The sponsor must be a Singapore citizen or PR who meets ICA requirements. Some LTVP types may have additional conditions (e.g. minimum income for sponsor). Each category has specific criteria — check ICA for your situation.

How it works: The sponsor typically submits the application (online via ICA). You provide relationship documents (marriage certificate, birth certificate, etc.), passport, and any other documents ICA requests. There may be a sponsor eligibility assessment.

Fees (ICA): S$45 at application submission; S$60 when the LTVP is issued. If you need to travel in and out of Singapore, an additional S$30 for Multiple Journey Visa (MJV) applies. Fees may change — confirm on ICA LTVP page.

Duration and renewal: LTVP is typically issued for a few years (renewable). Some LTVP holders may be eligible for a Letter of Consent (LOC) to work. Conditions vary by LTVP type. After several years as an LTVP holder, you may become eligible for permanent residence — but this is not automatic; confirm current pathways on ICA.
