Nigeria is often a purpose-specific trip — tourism, social visit or business meetings. For Georgians the key is choosing the right category (tourism vs visit), organising the online application and completing the Landing/Exit Card requirement in good time.

Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) publishes specific visa classes and requirements. For Georgian citizens the most common short-term categories are Tourism Visa – F5A (tourism) and Visiting Visa – F6A/F6B (family/friends social visit). Official sources: Tourism Visa – F5A, Visiting (Single Entry) – F6A, Visiting (Multiple Entry) – F6B.
There is also a separate practical requirement: Landing and Exit Card. The official FAQ states directly that all foreigners entering or departing Nigeria must use the Landing/Exit Card portal for pre-processing; the service is free, processing is "instant", but failure to comply may result in entry/departure refusal. Official source: lecard.immigration.gov.ng — FAQ.
In short: visa/authorisation is one part, Landing/Exit Card is a separate step. Proper planning here will help avoid extra stress at "boarding" or the border.
The best choice is made according to your purpose:
If comparing other African destinations, see Kenya (eTA) and South Africa (classic Visitor's Visa) — process logic differs. For general explanations see our visa guide.
With Nigeria the "decisive" factor is often not form-filling but document logic: purpose, itinerary/accommodation, finances and (for visits) host responsibility. We organise this process so the application is clear and consistent with requirements.
Check off items as you gather them
If tourism — F5A; if family/friends visit — F6A/F6B. See official requirements on NIS pages.
Passport, photo, return ticket, hotel/host address and 180-day bank statement. For F6A/F6B additionally — invitation + host documents + IR responsibility.
NIS pages indicate the process includes document upload and visa fee payment, then online application (e-Visa or embassy). In practice see details on official portal: https://visa.immigration.gov.ng/
After approval save your documents (PDF/confirmation) and do not buy non-refundable tickets until all stages are clearly completed.
Fill in Landing/Exit Card on portal and save the confirmation/file received by email. Official source: https://lecard.immigration.gov.ng/faq
Documents may be required at entry/exit. Category violation (e.g. employment on tourist visa) creates problems in future.
